NMBS FINALS MOVED TO BRIAN HEAD (UT)

2008 National Mountain Bike Series Finals Moved to Brian Head, Utah

Press Release

Blue Wolf Events is happy to announce Brian Head Utah as the new venue for the National Mountain Bike Series Finals presented by Trek VW. This announcement comes after Tamarack Resort in Idaho had to withdraw itself from the schedule.

It is a great feeling to have been able solve this problem so quickly and efficiently. We have only crossed one state, and we don’t even need to change our date, » said Jeff Frost of Blue Wolf, the series director. It is wonderful to be back at Brian Head. This venue impressed us when we held a series there two years back.

Traci Brown, the director of Brian Head’s mountain bike park, stated: We are thrilled to have the NMBS return, not only for the sporting side but also because it is so great to host America’s top mountain biking pros play in our backyard. There is no better way to show off the quality of our venue than this.

Trek VW has scheduled events for the National Mountain Bike Series Finals. These include Cross-Country and Short Track, Dual Slaloms, Downhill, Super D and Marathon. Online entries can be made at mtbnationals.com

Brian Head Mountain Bike park was established in 1991. It rises from 2,926.1m at the base to an elevation of 11,0.0m. There are 40 miles of single-track trails within the park boundaries, and easy access to Forest Service trails beyond. The downhill trails are served by a chair lift, while gravity riders can take advantage of the second expert/pro level downhill course Lil Gritty, which was used in the 2007 Utah Series. The park offers cross-country and downhill trails as well as terrain parks with jumps, dips and wooden elements.
